Life Well Lived | Following Jesus with Action, Not Just Knowledge

This powerful message invites us into Jesus' Sermon on the Mount with a challenging question: Are we merely students of Christ's teachings, or are we true disciples who act on His words? Drawing from Matthew chapters 5-7, we're reminded that Jesus didn't just teach about kingdom life—He lived it. His ministry was marked by healing, restoration, and freedom, demonstrating what life under God's kingdom truly looks like. The sermon challenges us to move beyond intellectual agreement with Scripture to actual obedience. Using the parable of the wise and foolish builders, we're confronted with an uncomfortable truth: both builders heard Jesus' words, but only one acted on them. When storms come—and they will—our foundation is tested not by what we know, but by what we've done with that knowledge. The message calls us to repentance, which means turning from our current path and following the King into a radically different way of living. This isn't about comfort or wealth; it's about discovering the good life God intended, which often looks nothing like what we expect. The question we must answer is simple yet profound: Will we hear and act upon Jesus' words, or will we remain passive listeners building our lives on sand?
